I have a Moroso oil pan with has a bung welded for the oil temp sensor to screw into. However, the oil temp sensor is huge! Is it safe to mount this directly to the oil pan? What is the correct way to do this??

Edit- I'm dumb and mixed up the oil temp/pressure senders.
Anyone else- don't forget to properly ground the oil pressure sender.
