Rules about fuel cell mounted were spare tire was
im curious about where my fuel cell needs to be in compliance with the Rules
Right now i have the fuel cell mounted where the spare tire was it fits nicely (5 gallon) and i dont want to have problems with events later down the road

but otherwise you would nomally have to build a box with a door to it (so that you can fill the cell) if its inside the passenger compartment. I have only really seen one car currently running with the fuel cell inside, and that is the 4 door CBI old school Civic in the hot rod class.
Yes, fuel cells are illegal in street class, but if you were to run one in any other class , the cell would have to be covered and sealed with .032 thickness aluminum or .028 thickness sheetmetal
