car overheating quickly...radiator leaking a little but why the overheat so quickly!!!
i hit a tire this morning and it messed up my radiator...over a 4 hours periodit probably leaked about a pint, i filled it up again and drove about 15 miles to find my temp on red...
why would it overheat so quickly for such a minute leak?
of course there is no way to tell how fast its pouring out while i'm driving but its seems strange.

It will leak more while driving because the air passing through it will push antifreeze out, but mostly because as your engine RPM increases, your water pump spins faster also.
I'd just change the radiator pronto.

your system isnt compressing antifreeze properly, therefore its not distributing coolant at the rate it should be, hence youre temperature going up. Get a new radiator. Until you do though, drive with the radiator cap cracked slightly; it helps cool it down. Also drive with the heater on defrost; that'll help as well. get it fixed though; I had the same problem and waited too long, and antifreeze dripped onto my radiator fan and shorted it out, causing even more problems.
