just use compund and then wax it, most CF hoods have a clear coat on them so it works same as any other painted surface on your car.....use a light rubbing compound and then hand-glaze (or good wax)

Worked for me. My friend works at a Body Shop. We just used some 3M very light rubbing compound, buffed and put some fresh carnuba on there. Looks great.

do that and you should be good. Or if all else fails you might have to take your hood in to the body shop and have them clear coat it again.

when I first read it I thought you said your g/f jumped on your hood. I had this friend of mine and she thought she was gonna be funny and sat on my cf hood and it made a crack sound. she thought it was funyn when I told her not to sit on the hood.

get a hack saw and cut a sword shape out of the middle of your hood then stab it through the cats torso at least someone will pay for the damage might as well be a useless cat

If not go to a body shop and they can sand the clear lightly should get the scratches out, then compound and a polish.

if the scratches are very bad , you could wetsand the hole hood with verry fine grit 1500+ on a sanding block and re clear the hole hood.Be just like new!! Just make sure not to brake through to the CF around the edges ... It will take some work depending on the depth of the scratch but I wouldnt try it with anything less than 1500 , scratches on the top of the clear are one thing , sand scratches under it would look like ****..

Glad to hear you got it all worked out. I personally don't think killing the cat over a few scratches that buff out is wise.

Waxing and buffing the hood will take out light scratches. If there are deep scratches, then you need to take the hood to a paint shop and have them spray a few coats of clear on it. That'll cover it right up and make it look like a brand new hood again.
