Default WHEEL STUD QUESTION - emergency!

hey guys-

i have a 00 integra and one of the wheel studs on my front wheel snapped off. i need to replace it asap (dont like driving around on 3)...

my friend has a rear drum assembly from his 00 civic hatchback, and it is intact with wheel studs on it (he converted to rear disc brake). are the studs the same all around, and can i use them? or do i need to get integra-specific ones?

i know this question is pretty specific... i hope someone can help me.

thanks!

You`ll need to get them pressed out/in I believe...Which would mean disassembly of the LCA, no? What a PITA.
Why you tightening them down so much?

yepppp, i did that to my civic, had to take off the hub and press them out, it was a pain in the ***, and THEN i stripped the bolt on the steering bar thingy that steers my tire, so i had to get that replaced though, only 30 bucks of parts and 3 hours of labor....bleh, but yea, it's a pain in the ***

hey guys-

thanks for the info. i didnt tighten them so much... i have no idea why it broke off.

what do you mean when you say it needs to be pressed out? if i just get a new stud at a parts store, what is the process for replacing it?

thanks...

its a really tight fit with ridges on it so that way when you take you lug nuts off it wont fall out. not that bad but try to give yourself a weekend and call a machine shop or a garage near you and make sure they can do it. not that hard just sucks ***.
