Default boost is the best option, hp need for?

i got a civic vx recently. i wanted to do a dohc turbo but now i'm going stay away from it until after the army so i can do a k20 turbo. i wanted to know how much hp is needed to send a front wheel drive that weights about 2100 with driver to 12.5? with drag radials.

the vx curb weight is about 2050, i have no back interrior nor a/c, 1.5L vtec (good for 230hp stock block) so it's really light even with me in it (127lb )

most drag calculators online is mostly for rearwheel apps. need to know from "experience"

thanks a million peeps.

if u strip the interior and throw it on slicks, 220whp should do it

I'd say about 185whp or so with a good driver. There are 2,600lb ITR's hitting 12's now with less than 200whp on slicks; I surely hope a VX could do the same with a touch less power.

Guess this also depends if you really meant to say radials or true slicks.
