Default LSD question

I was just wondering if the LSD from a JDM GS-R tranny will work in a USDM tranny. I was asking because I was told when I got the tranny that the LSD would only work in a JDM GS-R tranny, not the USDM ones. I would think it would work because I thought all B series tranmissions were the same. Can anyone help me out?

I don't see why it wouldn't work.

It will either be going in a GS-R tranny or a Type R tranny.

I just found out that I can't use that LSD in another tranny because the ring and pinion in the JDM tranny is different. That LSD will only work with that ring and pinion. I bet it's pretty hard to find a ring and pinion from a JDM GS-R tranny. I got this info from tony1, so I know it's reliable.
