i am building a GSR.
so far i have itr valve springs and retainers in the head (with new guides) and stock gsr cams.
and i am considering balancing my stock rods and adding ARP rod bolts and i am planning to uses itr pistons to raise the cr.
now my question is, i still use the stock p72 ecu right?
also could any one give me a ball park price for itr pistons?
and what would that setup raise my cr to exactly?
TIA fellas

i think that your cr would be around 10.84:1
try it yourself
go to http://www.c-speedracing.com and sroll down to the bottom of the page and click how-to
there is a section there called calculating compression ratios
good luck

use ctr pistons, get a lil more HP out of the set up, price should be close to the same as ITR pistons. and u still retain the ability to use pump gas with ease.
$200 ballpark for pistons. About another $130 for rings.
Compression 10.8:1. Do yourself a favor-get Hondata, or at least a VAFC and get it tuned.

You can get someone to draw you up a custom performance chip also.
But that is only like 100X times better than an AFC, and about on par with hondata.

ah ha...now this is where it gets tricky....
i am trying to do this on a "budget"
the reason i choseITR over CTR is because i am planning on doing a DP nitrous setup contolled by the JNMM. and i am pretty sure those few extra cr points from CTR's + n20 will lead me into some problems. I am trying to keep it as simple and cheap as possible with the hopes that within a year or so i can go turbo.
now i knew you guys were gonna say v-afc, custom chip, hondata ect.
but now that this turned into a BASIC nitrous set up, where hopefully AF will be controlled w/ propper jetting and timing will be pulled with the JNMM, now what do you think?
thanks guys

I think you may have problems.
And I think that N20 is not "all motor".
Good luck, though
