OK, I know I am still very new here, but I love reading all your comments. Well, since I have been here I have decided to put up a new website, for people to post pics and bio's of themselves and car... (more to come on that later)
my question this time... (yes I did a search and found some, but not much)

Ok, talked to the dealer about putting mods on the car... (01 Teg LS)
They said: Putting on CAI will cause the Check engine light to come on all the time. Also, CAI will cause problems with the sensors and they will have to be replaced every year or so.
SO how do you stop all this from happening?... Are there other mods you can get to make the car think that there is really nothing wrong?
(does that make any sense?)
Just see this as a once you start, you can not stop since part A causes part B to go bad and then fixing part B will cause Part C and D to go bad.. ect...
any ideas? (or should I just not worry?)

Putting a CAI will not throw a cel. The person you talked to at the dealer either a) was discouraging you from modifying, or b) didnt know what he was talking about. Prolly b though. You'll throw a cel say if your running to rich, advance your timing to much that kinda stuff but by just putting the minor bolt ons i wouldnt worry about it.

NEVER ask your dealer about modifications...period

they will tell you lies, they will do whatever they can to say that the mods will mess up your car. Period. I've heard it enough times. They are all full of ****, you want info, come to us, don't go to your dealer.

That is why I am here.... kinda like Luke searching for Yoda !
(I still have to find people to help make the mods... Shops around here dont care, they just want the $$)
Was hoping to find a local guru
/sigh
