!EVIL!- I want to burn the dealer -EVIL! Help me
I'm sure that most of you have read my posts about getting my tranny fixed, Ok now as soon as I get my caR back I want to conact someone at HONDA/ACURA and tell them about what a horrible experince I had. BUT who do tell and how?
I really want to burn them down with the most evil way possible, I'm just sick of being messed with and want to push back!
The reason for the evil, is that I was told I would have a loaner car for the time and now the dealer said nope.
Lend me your hand and show me the way!

Nice customer service
I woiuld start with a letter or visit to the service manager. Then work your way up the ladder if you don't feel satisfied with how they handle the situation.

the sad thing is I went to the manager the second I had a problem and he's the one that I'm most fustrated at and who I felt has lied the most.
So I need to go way above his head and really blow up his spot!

I hate delaerships that lie. I would rather spend countless hours on the phone to see something get done then let these dealerships get away with the lies they often do get away with.

go straight to the corporation with the complaint... my buddy did this when they wouldnt replace a tearing seatbelt on his 00 si... needless to say they were very quick to replace it after the call was made and names were given.
If it is warranty service and it takes over 24 hours it says in your warranty that they will provide you with a loaner car for x amount of time

Are you 100% sure about that?

send letter, make sure they are certified so someone has to sign for them. Then if they get blown off you will at least have signature proof who blew you off.
send registered letters to the dealership that are copies of the letters that go to the coporate office.
send them to several people at several levels and copy them all to the dealership.
make sure to include names, dates and times with you letter.
additionally explain how you are dissatisfied with the brand, the corporate office will be more concerned about customer loyalty than the dealership. "I didnt expect this kind of treatment when i bought my ACURA" that kind of thing. "I got this high end car to get away from this kind of trouble" "I thought your company was a step above the rest"

This sucks Rob! If you want the letter angle to work well, you must take care in writing/wording your responses. Triple check your spelling and grammer, try to sound educated, and don't rant.
Bottom line is, with a high end brand like Acura, you want to seem like you are one of their prefered customer base. If you sound like an angry youngster, they might blow you off. If you come off as educated and professional, polite but firm, they will think they have a lot more to lose (your future business, and the business of all of your associates). They will treat you better as a result.
Good luck! And :edit: *some* dealers *SUCK*
They know they most often have you by the short hairs, and they take advantage.
Just remember, what comes around goes around tho. Here's an example: Know those firestorms down in So Cal? Well I just found out that this *** who burned me BAD (long story), well his house just burned down!!! BWAHHAHHAHAHHA!

This sounds like the best idea. Instead of actually mailing it I would go the dealership with the letters you intend to send to make sure you got the names right
. While there be sure to make clear what the letters are for and where they are going. I wouldn't be surprised if the dealer changed their tune right there on the spot.

so they lied to you about a loaner car? wtf???? i say call the Better Business Bureau then call Honda America corporate office and complain...then, just as you're finishing up your call with them, casually mention that you have a complaint filed against them with the BBB....get's them all the time

Pretty sure, I'd have to check my warranty booklet, if I can find it, to be 100%. Should be stated in yours.
I did get an extended warranty as well, it might have been in that that i remember reading it.

After a bad experience with a dealership trying to get help from Acura was completely useless. When the first dealership didn't want to cover a clutch failure under warranty, the best answer Acura'a customer service reps could come up with was to try another dealership. No one with any authority would even talk with me on the phone when I was on the line with Acura. I was just told they don't talk to customers. I did actually get one phone call returned, but it was like two weeks after the problem was already solved by the second dealership. I even wrote a couple of letters to Acura and only got a we're sorry you didn't feel like we helped you, but... letter back. Nothing more. It turned out that finding another dealership actually turned out to be good advice because I found one that not only covered the clutch under warranty, but had the car done ahead of schedule. I'm sorry to say it (and this is without knowing the whole story), but maybe the best thing to have done would have been to go to another dealer. Its pretty sad to say, but even with an upscale brand like Acura, there are differences between dealerships.

a little off topic, but I had my clutch replaced under warranty at 18k miles because of a "squeaking" noise... I think it was the throwout bearing or something, but they replaced the whole clutch assembly. At first, a tech took it out for a spin and couldn't reproduce the noise, but then I took it out for a drive and was able to reproduce it for them. This was at Thomas Acura in West Covina, CA.

just make sure you spend the money and certify mail everything. it provides and implies accountability to the people that recieve them. the certified letters are much more likly to get in the hands of someone that will be able to help
For now I'm going to sit back and wait till I get my car then I'll be mailing letters to all the peeps in Honda's corp office and see what kinda response i'll get.
I will take all your advise and try to keep my cool.
Thanks for all the help
