Default Any Euro Type R owners out there (B18c6)????

Ive had my integra for about 3 years now, I recently crashed it, which means it has lost some of its 'prestine' stigma that I once attached to it. This means that im finally happy to start modifying it. Ive started with a Blitz air filter, and am now looking for a exhaust/ header combination. Ive found a used exhaust, but on the header front, im not sure what to get. There are several companies that sell headers, but they usually want over £500 ($800) for a DC sports header. The only thing that I cant make sense of is the spec. If I order a DC sports header from the US, will it fit my b18c6??? Ive emailed several US companies regarding this, but their usual response is - call your local distributor. The bottom line is that I dont want to pay double the price (ive seen DC sports stainless headers for $350) for what is esentially the same product. The main question is there any difference between the cars, ive heard that the catalytic converter flange is different, is this true. Have any euro type R owners fitted a header??? If there is any Euro type R owner (b18c6) who has fitted a header, can you tell me where you got it, or at least send me the part/catalogue numbers, and tell me of any difficulites in fitting it??? Im sorry to ask so many questions, but this forum is the only way I have sorted out many problems with my car in the past (thanks to all that have replied to my posts in the past), and im just wondering if theres anyone in the 'same boat' as I am.

Many Thanks

Big John

No reason why it won't fit. They also do one for JDM if you're worried about fitment of the USDM header. The p/n is AHS6612. The US one is AHS6604.

Nice to see a fellow Londoner on here..

I have a Hytech header and exhaust on mine, no problems with fitment, parts made in the U.S for the B18C5 will also work on a B18C6. Header and exhaust is the same on both as far as I know, with the only difference being that ours have only one o2 sensor, we dont have the second one located at the cat. outlet.

If your gonna buy a DC header, then get the JDM 4-1 with a 2,5" collector if you want to make more power, but this means you'll also need a cat with a 2,5" flange as your OEM one wont fit(2"). Good excuse for getting a new exhaust as well Do a search for header and exhaust as there's tons of info on the subject ,it has all been discussed before

And don't be afraid of shopping from the U.S, I've got the same situation up here in Norway getting aftermarket parts for the R. I've actually seen the Spoon header listed at 12000 NOK ( 1700$) It's usually priced at 900$ in the U.S.
And if I want to buy anything the shops have to order the parts anyway so why not do it yourself and save a lot of money in the process. I'm getting parts from Japan and the U.S, much cheaper and probably faster than shopping locally.

So if I get a US fitment header, it should bolt straight on. (I cant be bothered messing about changing flanges etc.). Many thanks for that, its greatly appreciated. By the way, do you know if Jackson racing superchargers will go straight on.

Cheers

PS- If you keep replying and make me spend my money on the car, my other half will be really pissed with you!!!!!!!

Yes I believe the header will bolt straight on but you wont get any significant Hp gains going with a USDM header, there's really no bother with getting the JDM one with a 2,5" collector, all you will need is a Carsound cat with a 2,5" flange to replace your cat. That combo will also bolt on and give much more value for money. Price for a Carsound is around 200$ i think.

It's not really wise to put an USDM header on your B18C6 even if it's direct bolt-on. You will get minimal gains with all that trouble and money. An JDM header is only a little more expensive, but you'l get max. gains.
Modifying the flange to fit a JDM header is not difficult if you get a resonated test-pipe or replacement cat.

Ive B18C6 (Poland) -> Every part for b18c5 fits b18c6. No problem. USDM header on EUDM ITR? No way, its useless! Buj JDM OEM header or some good aftermarket 2.5".
