How Do you Tell an Si Tranny From a DX/STD Tranny?
I know the Si unit is an L3, but does that even mean anything?
I know on the B Series stuff and 1992-1995 D trannies a tranny code doesn't mean anything in terms of what car it came from.
I know on the 1992-1995 D trannies there is a way to tell if it's an Si/EX tranny though by looking at the code casting just above the filler plug. If it reads "B000" it's an Si/EX and if it reads "A000" it's either a CX/VX tranny or DX tranny.
Are there any ways to check the D cable trannies?
TIA!
