Tires. If money is no problem...
Like the title implies, if money is not an issue, which brand and model of tire would you install on your Rrrrrr for daily use and occasional track time? I want just the best.
Any input, fellas?
BTW: On stock gun metals 15x6.

With respect to tires, I've grown quite fond of the Yokohama A032R.
Though, it really depends since the 205/50/15 seems a bit better suiter to a wider rim than the stock 6".

Marc: Nope, I'm keeping it. I realized if I sold it will be regret for the rest of my life

I'm on my 3rd set of 032R's, two sets on the stock wheel and this latest set on some 15 X 7.5" SSR Comps.
The only (minor) problem with these on the 6" rim is that it tends to to follow ruts in the road a little more and the face of the tire (in profile, longitudinally along the tread) seems to bow a bit on the narrower rim.
All in all I've liked them quite a bit and seem to manage at least 10K miles or more per set.

man those big tread blocks gotta get some good grip....well if u want best overall performance money isnt an issue get the bridgestone pole position s03
ive had only azenis and es100's and i like the es100's better than the azenis. seems like the rear of the car stays planted more and they come in the right sizes. i use the 195/50's on the stock wheels and i got them for 50ea so i cant complain. just my opinion. but if i could afford them and could live with the treadwear i would go with the A032R's.

If money is no object, I would get an extra set of gunmetal wheels. For one set of wheels, I would get R compound tires for the track events - Toyo RA-1 205/50-15. For the other set of wheels, I would use the stock Bridgestone RE010 195/55-15 on the street.
And, if you live in an area that has a harsh winter climate - you don't, but if you did - then I would add another set for winter tires.

you drive your car when it rains? holy crap!!!
well if you must drive in the rain then I think I'd go with A032R, but these tyres don't really grip well until they are warmed up a bit.. not too overly bad for daily driving, except they are loud

Track tires (R compound tires like many of those pictured above) are not a good idea for street use, because:
a. they suck in the rain. This is true even of the most rain-friendly track tires like the A032R, which still won't be as good in rain as any street tire. And
b. they wear quickly. For example, compare the Yokohama A032R with a good-performance street tire like the Yokohama ES100. The treadwear ratings are 60 and 280, respectively. That means that you will get almost five times
as many miles with the ES100 as you will with the A032R. And, of course, you'll also be spending almost five times as much for mounting and balancing.

What you guys think about this tire for the street? It's not the best but looks good.
Dunlop SP Sport FM 901. They're kinda sticky..

Eric: S-03's, Yoko ES100s or Goodyear Eagle F1 GS DS. All are good matches for the weather we see in florida. Or Azenis if you avoid rain (they aren't horrible, but the other three listed are better in the rain we get here)
I saw some of the ADVAN tires at Motorsport Dynamics in sacramento a while ago. I don't know what size they were but they had them.
