AirBags For My Civic?!
I have a 1992 honda civic hatch back.
I currently got Tein HA's on my car, but want to swap them out for AirBag Suspesnion.
I wanted to dump my car to the ground. Dont ask me why, I just love the dumpped look.
ANyone know a good airbag suspension kit for my civic?
btw, i perfer a bolt on kit so i dont need to cut and weld my frame and incase i want to go back to traditional spring/shock combo.
Thanks In Advance..

sell me your teins then if you want air bags...how much...
just look around your local area for places that install airbags..cause im sure if you want your car sitting on the ground your going to have to move somethings so that they will not get damaged...

LMAO!
im not sure, but search the archives. i suggest you also get steel braided lines, i hear the other ones tend to leak, and thats where major problems arise.

I'm not a ricer, but a change in taste for now. I'll have the teins on the side just in case the airbag suspension doens't hold up.

For all the flamers, check out the last issue of SCC, there is a lot of VERY good info about airbag suspensions and they actually road test it. My only suggestion is if you want your rates to be anywhere NEAR linear, make sure you are using less than half of the suspension travel. Pick up the SCC and learn as much as you can want to know!
why isnt this in the AC forum gay f*cking ricers hey you should get clear tailightsand two aluminum wings stacked on top of each other
To all the flamers, please don't even post if you don't have any relivant information and don't want to help. Praxis made the suspension for the WRX that I was talking about. They had three modes, with touring mode being at a stock height, Sport mode, which drops the car about an inch and Track mode which drops it 2 inches. Due to the non-linear nautre or airbag suspensions, each lower setting stiffens up the suspension. Check out the November 2003 issue of SCC!!
to you for having the ***** to venture into this. Only problem with the airbag setup on the WRX...it costs almost 3500 dollars.

Nice to see someone take a stand here. Even if airbags aren't everyone's cup of tea, this question sure as hell is more technical than alot of the crap I see in here these days.
Hmm, maybe we should refer our friend with the road noise problem to this thread, would airbags lessen road noise?

I doubt it. The noise I think he is talking about isnt coming from the suspension, but more the lack of sound deadening and tire noise. Good plan though and tanks for not being an *** to this guy like everyone else. It is a very reasonable idea, and I think most of the flaming that happens in here is just people trying to fit in and jump on the bandwagon with everyone else.
