Vis is cheaper, looks 'prettier' better for show. FI is more money, fits the same as vis if you ask me and is lighter than the vis one's i've seen. My FI hood has been smashed against my windshield about 3 times and the clear coat is cracked like there's no tomorrow but the weave is still tight like the rest of the hood where it isn't cracked.

best buy : vis
sun fade : vis cause fi fades quickstyle..

i had a vis on my last car and ill say it is damn good quality, looks nice, but is on the heavy side compared to the carbon fiber hood i got now. To be completly honest im not even sure what kind of hood i got now, but its damn light thats for sure, can anyone tell me how to figure out which one it is, i told my mechanic to order a vis, but it doesnt have the badge under the hood.

I was contemplating on getting a fiber images hood but seeing from all the posts, it seems VIS is better. Why does FI costs so much though?

heres the deal for looks purposes VIS rocks, they have carbon rolled edges, carbon undersides. just gorgeous hoods. but there heavier. FI has no rolled edges so they will chip and crack and seperate. mine are anyway. but it is light as hell and is a awesome quality hood. so personal prefference. looks or lightness why do you want it! its up to you kid.

For Fiber Images. I got the annoying hood gap it stands a lil over 1/2 inch above the fender with Hoodpins. adjusted it several times and still got the gap. my buddy has a JDM **** hood and its perfect. Great fitment nice weave. for JDMshit. Vis i havent dealt with personally ive only seen 1 hood out of theres. It was on a 2003 Sentra SER. He got it right when it came out. so who knows

My fiber images hood does not fit all that great. I got some gaps on the side, works good for venting though. No problems with sun fade or anything...

you guys sound like you have the old FI hoods. the new FI hoods own anything else on the market. no under-skeleton, they are flexable as ****, and the fit is excellent. they also have rolled edges, and theres is carbon fiber the whole way around.
