Does anyone have a pictures of a vented hood for an integra?? I wanna see different kinds of hood cause im thinking of getting one for my turbo....any suggestions would be of great help.....

 

here's mine but its not really functional.....maybe cools down the intake manifold but i never bothered to check

Im looking for the ones that vent downwards like the Mugen hood...I dont think protruding hood scoops look good on R's

 

The Mugen one is not for induction or engine cooling. Its for downforce.

sorry gteater but i have to say that being an owner of a green integra myself your car looks awful swap the hood take of the damn bling blings for starters, and i am not even trying to say this as just my .02 cents but im being serious.




on the upside i do i like the 1.8 vtec sticker on the hood but das about it!!!!

thats alright, cuz there are plenty of people that do......you are entitled to your opinion, but i think my car looks phat and i always get compliments and people checking out my car........not just teens and people in imports, but domestic guys, lots of women, tons of hoodrats(my favorite), doctors, 50 year olds driving S2000's, beamers, and benz's

but the hood does cause a lot of controversy.......some people say i'm trying to be domestic but, i've ALWAYS like the SS hood, and when it finally came out, i had to get it

 

i haven't decided if I like that hood or not

but man, its all about what you like, and what you wanna do...doesn't matter what other people think

EPGONZALEZ, your car is PHAT.......i never really thought the JDM conversion was all that but it looks f*#kin mean with that hood and in black......got anymore pics in the sun.......the shade kinda hides the front view

BTW, whoever said that the mugen hood is meant for downforce is wrong. If it was solely for downforce, then why would they even put this image up in advertisement? Also, I have that hood, and it doesn't do a bit of good for downforce.

Vented hoods good for turbo??? What happen if rain gets in there like water or some dirty crap???? If possible thanks for the help.

 

yeah..if you drive your car alot i wouldnt rec. vented hoods...mines just a race car..a car show every once in awhile..heres some pics from the import showoff at nisei..courtesy of autobuzz.com

I've got a vented hood on my turbo jdm integra, and when it rains or "dirty crap" get in there, then it just gets dirty. then you clean it. Not a big deal.
