Worth it to upgrade my piping and IC?
Im torn at the moment since im redoing my set up , I dunno if its worth it to redo my piping and my IC? the piping is standard Drag piping and the IC is just a Spearco , dimensions with end tanks is like 29x8x3 something liek that
im thinking it might get choked down at 500-550 hp levels. or whatever it ends up at .
the drag piping is 2.25 to the throttle body , but from the turbo to the ic is like 2inch
What you guys suggest?
if i do upgrade ill prob get FFGeoffs backdoor IC and i guess do custom piping , prob 2.5 all around.
But i dont knwo anyone in Pa that would do custom piping for me .

i wouldnt doubt it, damn its worth it though. ive tried to call them but cant get a hold of them. if you find out, if you dont mind, just post it or let me know if its not too big of a problem
Earl, can get the back door design for the PWR intercoolers. It shouldn't be too expensive either. Check out his post.
Personally, I think the IC piping from the (DRAG Kit) turbo to the intercooler is way too small for 500+HP. I'm using it now and I plan on getting bigger piping for next season.

Yes itd be worth it! w/ our drag piping, and straight 2.5" piping, we actually gained spool time! by almost 1k rpm. I dont know if it was a flaw or what, but thats what we experienced first-hand!
so you think 2.5 is a nice size to go with for 500-600whp or so ? also your manifold should just go right into the backdoor IC's right?

No, it wont. My manifolds are 2-3 inches lower than the other guys. Youll have to go w/a custom setup, or an elbow to bow up or something...

hmmm , i guess that throws thwe backdoor out of the picture, in that case i can get another Spearco from the guy that i got my old one for a real good price. i saw he had some like 30x10x3 and what not . ill prob do that and thne take the extra money and get custom piping made. the prob is getting the car there , aye aye aye . headaches, i need a freaking trailor.
I have 2.5" on my set-up and was total overkill. I'm only pushing 9psi, and i've heard that all it does it slow down my spoolup (which i'm sure it true). I could trade ya
