D16A6 intake manifold vs. D16Z6 IM
ok, i've got a D16Z6 swap, but still using the A6 intake manifold, but i have the Z6 manifold also, which one is better? if the Z6, then can i just put it on or do i have to modify wiring for any sensors, etc?

or use a 90-91 B18A1 (58mm) throttle body and run the original MAP.
im using one and it works great. just figured ill add that i also have an extra B18A1 TB for sale... if your interested.

you can use pretty much any 92+ D series throttle body (on the z6). I prefer to use a D15B7 throttle body, since it bolts right onto a z6 manifold and doesnt have the map sensor on it, so i can use my firewall vacuum/map assembly.'
If you have a nice collection, you can mix and match parts.. i know there are a couple throttle bodies that dont have the idle controller on the bottom, thus a built in "throttle body coolant bypass", some have it, some have built in map sensor, some dont. one thing to remember, all TPS are interchangeable. I mix and match with parts.

umm the map sen's is only on the TB so this mean u can put the z6 TB on the a6 manifold and you would have the map on the TB but regardles of that the z6 has larger runners and bigger plenum..but not as larg as the y8...

the z6 throttle body doesnt fit on the a6 manifold. and there are many differnt styles of throttle bodies, OBD0, OBD1, some have map sensor on them, some dont.

why is it that when i had my z6 turbo setup i had a ported out a6 manifold that i used and the y8 tb of a y8 manifold just sliped in...i dont know i guess it was just me then
they do not bolt on. i repeat, they do not bolt on. either you didnt have an a6 manifold, or you didnt have a y8 throttle body, or the y8 throttle body had the holes hogged out so it *would* fit. they will not bolt on without modification.
