i found out the hard way that all fuses are not the same........i bought some cheap fuses...they were like $5 for 50 of them........well cheap is cheap....the stupid fuse was the right amp rating as what i replaced....but it melted insead of poping........now i'm in the process of replacing all of the wiring under the dash.......$900 total in wire........i couldn't just buy the samll little section that i needed i had to buy the whole thing........and everything has to come out too.....dash heater core....console just about the whole front section of the intrior.........really sad thinking a few saved bucks ends out being almost a 1000.......

you hot wired something?? well, at least you not that moron i knew hot wired the srs and triggered both air bag trying to hook the cd player up

 

it was a remote starter and keyless entry system.......at least that is what i think caused it....for over a year i had no problems with it.....right now after 4 hours i have the entire dash out..the steel cross brace the steering wheel and shaft...also the heater core........i have about half of the new harness back in...hopefully i can finish tomorrow.....the airbags didn't go off though so i was lucky with that...........i don;t understand how u can blow them putting in a stereo??????most airbag wiring has big yellow band around them
