Default z6 head onto y8 block distributor question.

If I have a d16y8 with an obd1 conversion and I swap a z6 head on it I know that I will need a z6 distributor with y8 distributor internals swapped into it. Would I still need to swap the internals if I have an obd1 conversion?

no, a z6 distributor is already obd-1, if you had a y8 distributor you would have to swap to obd1 internals

but if I had didn't have an obd1 conversion would i have to swap in the obd2 internals from the y8 dizzy into the z6 so it would fit on the z6 head? So what your saying is that if I have an obd1 conversion i can just use a z6 dizzy without y8 internals?
