HELP! CRANK PULLEY STUCK
WELL I WENT DOWN AND BOUGHT A IMPACT WRENCH RATED AT 625 FT/LBS IN REVERSE(HARBOR FRIGHT "EARTHQUAKE") AND IT WOULD NOT BUDGE. SO I REMOVED THE LITTLE BLACK PLATE FROM BOTTOM OF TRANS BELL HOUSING AND STUCK A HEX TOOL IN THERE TO LOCK FLYWHEEL, USED TWO 10 INCH EXTENSIONS AND BREAKER BAR WITH FLOOR JACK HANDLE ATTACHED AND POP THE BELL HOUSING BROKE!!!!! NOTHING JB WELD CAN'T FIX. DO I
1. GIVE UP TAKE TO DEALER?
2. BUY A PULLEY HOLDER? THOUGHTS? 91 CIVIC DX 1.5

snap on makes a cool lil tool that goes right in there and holds it in place should have bought that and not wasted money on that impact wrench

IMPACT WRENCH GOES BACK TONIGHT, DO YOU KNOW IF IT WORKS WITH 91 1.5 THE PULLEY WILL NOT WORK WITH THE 50MM HEX NUT STYLE.

no need to yell 'round here...
if you cant get the crank to stop, put the car in gear (1st) and have someone step on the brakes, while u use the breaker bar to get the bolt off. that's what i did, and i got the pulley bolt off with a 24" tire iron. try heating the bolt.

Pump the air compressor up more..
I had the same problem.
so i took the cover off my pressure switch on the the compressor..
and cranked on the bolt with the spring to adjust the max pressure on the the tank.
now I can pump >150 psi
140 psi should blast that bolt off
it did in my case
