Lower Ball Joint
How long can you ride on a busted Lower Ball Joint with no Castle Nut? Because I'm am tired as **** from just those damn axles. I finally got them bitches in
. But yea, how long? Also, I have a lower ball joint from my old suspension.....can I take it somewhere to get it pressed out and put in my new suspension and get it pressed into that?

Well, not having that nut on there allows your suspension to go completely to **** if you unload it well enough over a bump. Why would you drive with your suspension half-assed?
I would definitely not drive it w/o the nut on there. If you must, be sure to at least put the cotter pin in, otherwise the ball joint and your lca are going to separate.
Take the whole thing off your car and bring it to the shop if you want, but DO NOT drive without a castle nut on that lower balljoint.
Thats like sticking your bare *** in front of a line of homo's thinking nothings gonna happen

Ok, been at it for almost 2 hours. The ball joint will simply not budge. I used that damn balljoint remover fork and it tore my boot to hell even more. Can I take this to a local Autozone or something and get it taken care of?
Well I was planning on taking the whole knuckle and LCA off and use another car and bring it to a shop. Will a local Autozone be able to seperate it and press in a new one?

I'm 50% sure that they could press it out. Why don't you call them and verify?

I may be a little late for this topic but my car is up on jackstands right now also. Im replacing my upper ball joint! I have the ingalls camber kit so it makes it easier to get the old one out, but now i have to have the new one pressed in, its a little tighter than the old one. Lucky for me i work at a parts store with a full machine shop. I recommend you do the same and not hammer the crap out of it.
im also having this problem gettin my stupid ball joint off...i have replaced axles before and ive take off plenty of ball joints just this past week w/o a problem but for some reason this one on my civic wont frekin budge
Well guys....I got the LCA off from the lower balljoint from the donor. But, I guess I have to go to the shop to take the LCA off from my LCA. Stupid thing won't budge. I guess i'm going to have it pressed in there too since imma be up there.
i just finished changing my axle like 20 min ago! everything went pretty well- except for that damn ball joint. so after hammering the **** outta it cause i was told not to get the tool, it came out and we got the new axle in. problems were- 1 the castle nut is fucked and the cotter pin isnt in, 2- the boot on the ball joint is ripped off cause we rip **** alot. so i think im gonna have to get a new balljoint. if i only had the joint remover tool thingy or a fork or something i woulda had the whole axle swap done in half hour
