Camping. It is looking to be a great weekend. Weatherman says sunny, clear skies and 70-75. I'll have the projector fired up watching some speed. Admission 1 6 pack per person.

can you camp if you're not racing or participating in hpde? I'd rather throw a couple tents and a grill in my hatch and have a good time camping than spend money to sleep in a hotel 20 miles away.

Weather depending, I'll be camping and/or sleeping in somebody's trailer and/or sleeping on somebody's hotel floor.

As for grill... possibly, if enough people will use it

Jon
who bases all of this on the forecast:
40 degrees = hotel, 50 degrees = trailer, 60 degrees = camping

I'm camping (in the Winnebago). I won't be bringing a grill, but I will have the range, oven, and now a microwave.

I am sleeping in my own bed.........................

I love living 15 minutes from Summit

for a small fee someone could crash on the couch/floor of my house

Its not a spectator event, so AFAIK that means you need to be on someones crew list to get in. As long as you are in, you can camp.

I may be hotelling it, in which case this wouldn't be an issue, but what do you all think of leaving a car at Summit overnight? I'm going with a few buddies, and if we go home for Saturday evening it's a good 1 1/2 hour ride back, so in the effort of saving gas, we thought to take just one ride back.

Your car will be safer at summit over night than outside your own house, don't worry about it

<--- Staying in Hotel because he is a wimp who likes TV, soft beds, and Hot showers.

I'll be staying at the wonderful Shoney's Inn Sat night, no point in freezing my *** off when I can enjoy a nice bed, especially when I'll be sharing it with a hot redhead.
