Help: Steering is off after brake upgrade!!
After doing a si front brake conversion my steering is off. I have to turn the steering wheel slightly to the left inorder for the car to go straight. What could be the problem?
One brake could be hung?? I wish I could help more. Possibly because you messed with the suspension (kinda) the allignment is probobally off.
anytime you take the spindles off, you run the risk of putting the suspension geometry off. just have it aligned, or if you know a friend that can eyeball itlike my boy nick, he is always dead on, take this for what its worth. every hour off on the wheel, equals 1/2 turn on the tie rods. that is very close. if you dont know what i am talking about, dont mess with it. gt it aligned and drive it. you will be fine.
Yes, I redid my suspension a week ago and my alignment was off. The steering wheel would have to be to the right a little to go straight. Also, when I stopped hard, the car would vibrate. I got an alignment today and now the car feel soooo different. I actually feel one with my car if that makes any sense. And no more tilted steering wheel and vibrating.
