try the rev model 6
they only weigh 16.2 pounds and they are 17's with tires and they are mounted and balanced
they cost i think 6oo or 7oo dollars shipped
and the only retailer you can but them from is speedandstyle.com
or you can go with some 15 spoon lookalikes from edgeracing.com
they also have many other good deals on both websites

Alright, so at what size wheel/tire does the handling curve peak?
I've got 14s on my 00 EX and was wondering if getting bigger tires/wheels would yield better grip, but surely there has to be some compromise with weight, no?

The main question is are you interested in performance or looks. If it is looks good luck spending a small amount. However if it's performance it is my experience that on the street any thing over 15 inches will increase the cost with little or no gain in handling. I have the "House Brand" 15 X 7 Pep Boys at $49.95 each. It is a light decent looking wheel at an excellent price. I run 195 X 50 15" Yokohama Avid T4's they wear good, have excellent wet handling and are pretty good in the dry. Yes, it is a slight compromise but face it we drive on the public highways and a sticky race tire will not provide a performance benifit that would not offset the cost and short tread life of a "soft" compound performance tire.
