Default Small Sub Woofers

I'm in need of a small sub woofer. I was all set to get the JL 6" or 6-1/2" sub....whatever it is. But then I found that Focal makes a 5-3/8" speaker in their Utopia line called the "5 WS". This works perfect for me cause it would be a direct drop in the factory box I have. So I'm wondering does anyone know of any other really small subs? Especially something in the 5-1/4" size. The Focal is a great peice but its a lot of cash and hard to find.

Thanks,

Carl

Yeah...usually a 5-1/4, 6-1/2, or even a 7" speaker is a midbass. But these little guys I'm referring to are dedicated sub-bass speakers. They are meant to be used in a box (as opposed to infinite baffle). While they can't compare to a 12" or 10" sub.....they are suprisingly potent in the right amount of air space with the right power going to them. I have heard the JL 6" sub and by the sound, you really think that it is something bigger than that.

Besides, I don't want to use my midbass speakers for sub bass. They will be crossed over somewhere around 100Hz. I don't want to make them try to do something they can't. Besides....doing so makes midbass's sound poopy.

Also refered to as the term "Woofer" (hence why the larger ones capable of lower end sounds is called a sub-woofer

ATF Kuk....do you have an online business? If so, whats the url add? I am interested in getting one of these.

Can you actually get these?? I worked at an online car audio website for four years and I became familiar with competitors taking orders and then worrying about sourcing product.

How much for one Utopia 5 WS? And what would shipping be to NJ, zip 08854?

Thanks a lot,

Carl
