pistons or just shave?
well i am confused now
i was thinking about doing CTR pistons in my b16 and then shaving my head to up comp even more... i just talk to a buddy and he said save my money and just shave the head and dont put pistons in it. it is cheaper and u can do the same thing.
i dont know how it will work.
what do u all think about it?

Just remember that once the head is milled, the material is gone forever. Also, if you mill the head too much, you are weakening the overall structure of the cylinder head.
If you decide to run big cams later on in your build-up, milling the head may cause piston-valve clearance issues. So I would rather get the pistons with the exact CR that I want and forget about milling the head to increase the CR.

i would say ctrs and a tad bit of shaving ...its going to have less effect on your timming and will be safer as far as clearance goes
and who were you talking too that said that
