Default Help me troubleshoot my 94 Civic EX please: Car wont start

94 Civic EX Stock D16z6

Ok, driving down the highway this morning at about 80mph. All of a sudden the RPM dropped down from 3500 to 0. I lost engine power. I pulled over and the car wont start up again.
Engine DOES turn over
No ECU codes
I still have battery power
Fuel Pump DOES turn on
I DO have power at Fuel Pump "Connector" (connector to the FP Relay)
I have NOT tested the Fuel Pump relay (under dash, drivers side) - Dont know how

Thanks!

If you hear the pump come on. the main relay is OK on that half. The other half powers the injectors.

I hate to ask, but is the cam turning? (Broken timing belt)

Broken timing belt would've made some noise : bad noise.

It's probably your distributor. You can take it apart and troubleshoot the constituent parts or you can just get a new one. The MSD Blaster external coil and corresponding cap work out well if it is, indeed, your coil.

Check fuel, spark, compression. Did your timing belt snap? Is your air filter totally clogged?

Start checking the little things. Check fuses... etc...

Well I dont think fuel is thr problem. I checked and I do have fuel pressure.
I pulled the plugs and they look ok but need to be replaced.
I also pulled the distributor cap and rotor. I'm gonna take them to Autozone in the morning so they can look at them. I dont know if they are bad or not.

I did just remember that in the past 2 weeks or so the car was becomming harder to start. Took longer to fire up. So mabye it is something spark related.

I had the same exact thing happen on my 96 civ...It's probably the ignition coil. See if you have spark. This is common in civics.

I think it is my Ignition Control Module. I'm trying to track down a cheap one now to see if that fixes it.

I dont remember if the rotor spun or not. If I put it back on can I test it? Just spin it around?
Would that cause the car to die immediatly like mine did?
The guys at the Autoparts shops I've been too have suggested i\that its the ICM.
