stolen or legit
Are you freaking kidding me? If I caught someone with a known stolen engine, I'd call the cops on them in a heartbeat. To many people have their **** stolen because no one bothers to help out. F&*K thieves.
I think everyone got off on the wrong foot, i am not going to put a stolen motor in any car. I was looking at one and does not have the vin #'s on the motor or tranny but its an old guy who is a cop. So what else could be the reason, should I buy it?

Consider this. You may save some cash buying a stolen motor but in certain areas the cops will pull you over and run the VIN on imports. I have also seen them do it at street races and import shows. If you engine doesn't check out they confiscate your entire car. Then your fucked and could be held responsible for having stolen items. It's not worth it. Plus, everytime you buy a stolen engine another car from HT gets stolen.

write down the number on the block and call the police department. Ask them if the motor is stolen.

If it's a cop, he might be probing for people who would buy stolen motors, just looking for someone to throw in jail...keep that in mind. Also, ask him what junkyard he found it in and then call them and have them give you all the info they have. There's no excuse for this "cop" not having a ******* recipt or something. Call him a dumbshit if he can't pull anything out for you. Don't buy it unless it's legit.
