Default Difference felt with ITR clutch/flywheel?

What differences would I feel with an ITR clutch & flywheel in my otherwise pretty stock LS? It will bolt up with no problems, correct? I know rpms will build a little faster, anything else?? thanks!

slightly faster engagement. Other than that, that's about it.

Look into some aftermarket solutions if you haven't already.

I have looked into aftermarket....I just needed a clutch anyway and was thinkin about tryin to pick up a flywheel and clutch that might help some....but i figure there are no huge differences until you drop to the 9lb range of flywheels....so will probably just go stock clutch

I think the biggest difference you'll find will be that your car will rev noticably quicker. The ITR flywheel is about 5lbs or so lighter than your stock LS flywheel.

It's only 3 pounds lighter. Stock is 18, ITR is 15.

I would personally go with the 12.5 pound or the 8.8 pound xAct wheel. I've got it and it rocks. The only thing wrong with it is it's too light. I should have gotten the 8.8

I've heard as light as 14 lbs for ITR and as heavy as 19 for the stock LS flywheel, although I've never weighed them. Thanks for the clarification.

I've weighed my USDM ITR flywheel: 15 lbs

I would save up for an aftermarket clutch and flywheel...unless you can find the ITR stuff cheap.

doesnt a lightened flywheel give you harsher shifts?

it was a comment from someone else on here who said that there has to be more rev matching because it spins much faster than stock.
