on the integra, i keep my all-season tires on and don't take the car in heavy snow falls. tires are bfg touring t/a. do ok in light snow.
i use michelin artic alpins on the 190. and use michelin artic pilots on the E. amazing grip with the 4wd system on the E.

I have some all-season cheap crap on some steelies that don't work very well in the snow. Definitely better than bald Bridgestone RE730s on the snow
Has anyone tried to mount some small mud tires on a Honda?

Got a friend with Falken 512's on his 200sx and he says they're great in the snow. They're allseason tires. I just bought four for my Integra so I'm waiting for the snow to see how they do. About $296 for all four. 205/55/15

by just using 2 tires up front instead of all 4, is there a big difference?

you'll be ok on the front tires. those are the tires doing the most work with fwd. steering, driving, etc... but you do want some grip in the back.
when i had comp t/a's in the back and touring t/a's i took a turn a little faster (about 5-10mph) on slush and the car came around on me. no one else around except me and my ego!!! tried the same feat with touring t/a's all around and it didn't get out of hand. but, the michelin snow tires are excellent and stay on the benzes for half the year. snow season in park city is october to may.
summer tires in the rear won't give you too much grip. so, take it easy even with excellent grip up front.

Blizzaks are sweet. Having two different tires can have an effect on you depending on the conditions of the rears. There are plenty of posts around about people having to stop very quickly. Balding rear tires will loose traction and swing your end around. Consider the tread on the tires that will be on the rear before just buying two.

These tires are cool: Dunlop Graspic DS-1 (Winter)
Buy em for the winter and keep em for a while:
The first 55% of the Graspic DS-1Â’s tread depth features high-grip silica-enhanced compound while the remaining 45% features an all-season tread compound.
<About not changing the back tires, as long as you have a sufficient amount of tread on the rears and you don't take turns hard, then your tail wont dip out> Im in the same boat.
Best part: Theyre $51 each at tirerack.com
