Default Oil? Synthetic or no?

Just wondering if someone can give me pros and cons of using synthetic vs normal stuff? I've heard its way better for your motor to use synthetic. If thats the case, why wouldnt everyone use it?

Cost is the reason most don't use it. A case of synthetic will run you about $25, case of dino oil will be much cheaper. Actually, just a browse of Parts America shows that I can get a 5 quart jug of dino oil for about $5, and a single quart of synthetic is also $5.

Unless you really work your engine hard, the cost of synthetic out weighs the benefits.
