everything on the car is stock except for bolt-ons. yes thats the ls trans with a 153,000 miles on the bottem end and the trans!!! i just went back to the dyno yesterday and put a different chip in my p28 ecu and got 169.3whp and 127.5 torque. i'm pretty happy with that. it cost me altogether $2500.00 for the ls/vtec installed and the h/i/e.

my friend with a 1998 GSR with intake, exhaust and lowered ran a 15.0XX with one person in the car.

I think your suppose to be more lower then that with a ls/vtec.....14 minimum....
I ran 15.02 with B18B non vtec with bolt-on and SIR tranny. No slicks. So if you do not have a good tranny, change it right now, because it's affecting directly your performance......

posting this for a friend...but...his setup consists of..
shotpeened rods
spoon itr pistons
blueprinted and balanced
b17 head
b17 tranny (short ys1)
centerforce stage 4 clutch
itr flywheel
00 itr cams
stock intake / intake mani / header / cat
tanabe exhaust
ecu
14.4 @ 96mph. granted the track we go to is pretty shitty, but i think w/ some more bolt ons he'll be in the 13s. this is also in a g2 gsr with 18s in the back and 14s in the front... no weight reduction was occured...

15.3 for an lsvtec with h/i/e? i know gsr's that do 14.5-14.9 with hie. i really think an ls vtec should be doing better than low 15.'s....my 92 hatch with an ls did 15.1 with intake and clutch.
your hatch is also alot lighter than my car so u did not do very well!!! went to the track again today and ran a 15.0 @93.16 with a 2.260 60ft. my problem is that i have the ls trans long gears
sounds like a decent time. drop that 60 ft and you'll see a 15.0-15.1 probably.
Don't listen to people who say "ive seen this car do this time, or my car runs this time so you should too."
Too many variables....i.e. weather, elevation, driver, etc etc.
I go to Palmdale....all day 14.0-14.3.
50 miles south...I went to Pomona...13.4-13.5s all day.
Every track is different.
