intake manifold and throttle body questions....
i've searched and didn't find much really.
First of all, i wanted to know if there were differences in intake manifolds specifically for F/I applications as opposed to N/A applications, or is it that the better one flows the better it is, no matter what application its for. I'd assume that there are specific differences, so what would some include? And would it then be that one designed for F/I might actually hurt HP for N/A set-up? I can't see that as possible.
Also, if i get an aftermarket (bigger) intake manifold and then get, say a 2mm bigger throttle body and match it to the IM, will my Injen CAI piping still fit or will I have to get bigger piping to match the intake to the TB???
thanks for any input.

In an NA setup, it's all about the intake velocity.
In an FI setup, it's more about pure volume.
There are intake manifolds that are meant for an FI application, that would hurt your horsepower on a NA setup. It may work just fine for an NA setup, if you were revving at 13000rpm or so, but when you need the torque and hp down lower, then it needs to be designed and built for NA..

what factors affect intake velocity and volume.
plenum size does what? runner length effects what? runner diameter effects what?
What attributes are you looking for in a N/A IM? longer or shorter runners...larger or smaller plenum...etc?
and for a F/I setup?
