oem=best, listen to your buddy he is right. All the other bearings are "one size fits all" and we all know that
one size fits all=halfassed

ACL bearings for $99 is for the entire bearing set for rods AND mains.

a set of ACL rod bearings only will be like $45.

a set of oem will set you back about $200. As far as acl's im using them and the qauality is as good as oem and they are not half assed; on my engine they plastigauged perfect(.0015 and .00017 on #3). it all depends on the bearing color that you have right now.

I think he is. $1.47 each and there are 8, 2 for each rod, right? I'm telling you man, try http://www.manhonda.com. You'll have to email the guy for the prices b/c rod bearings aren't on their website. autoparts@manhonda.com.

OEM, if you want the 'right' fit. One size fits all if it is a motor you don't care about.

I'd still go with OEM bearings and I would get them through manhonda.com.

Obviously you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The ROD BEARINGS are #18 in the illustration! They are between $1.10 and $1.25 each and he needs 8! We'll do worst case scenario, $1.25x8=$10

You are a ******* dumb ***!!!!!!!

Here is a worse case scenario for rod bearings for a B16A2.
$8.17x8=$66

$200 and $66 are two totally different amounts of money...

Click on that link and see for yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To BLUE EH3 you should change all the bearings since you are tearing the motor apart. You dont wanna put it back together and find out you have to change the mains couple of months later...piece of mind

Thats right, change all the bearings. Damn I cant believe people will actually skimp on rod and main bearings for the motor they are building. I'm building a 2.0 ls right now and I havn't even considerd any thing else than OEM, I really don't care that they are $200 I'll just have to save up more. The peace of mind is worth every penny.
