i think the 96-00 ex cluster will just plug straight in......they have tach with 7k redline.!

since your new here, before somebody says it like an *******....for simple things like this..or things that seem like they would be common for poeple to do. just click the search in the upper right corner...this is covered plenty of times...you'll get a lot further here...people are quick to scream SEARCH n00b!!!!!...make you feel un-wanted..just keep that in mind. always try it first, then post if you dont find it!!!!!!!!!!

If you have the stock D-Series engine, then go for the 96-00 Civic LX cluster. The LX has the same engine SOHC non-VTEC that came stock in your car, so the redline would be correct.

I vote for the EX cluster. I've got one in my car and just did all of my lighting amber!! Looks great!

EDIT: The LX came with a tach??

Yeah, check for the LX cluster, but the EX cluster will work just as well, only with a little higher redline (whoevers car it is going on is going to have to watch the numbers on the tach instead of the colors, but that's not hard at all)
