your results are LOW. brand new B18C1 motors are rated at 270psi straight across. However the only good thing about your numbers is that they are even. which means motor wore down properly. Looks like it might be time for a rebuild. How many times did you cycle the motor? your supposed to cycle until the needle on the compression tester doesnt rise anymore..usually around 7 times. and make sure to hold that gas pedal all the way down. im not saying you didnt do it properly but some people do forget to do things and get innacurate results.
i only let it rev like 5 times, im shure it would have gone higher if i woulda keept reving it. i held the gas and the clutch in while i was doing it. and took the FI fuse out

misinformation here, the manual quotes 150-210psi is considered normal

The price of a compression tester... like $30 to $50 maybe? I can't remember what i paid for mine. You just remove a sparkplug starting from cylander 1 to 4
and plug in the compression tester where the spark plug would go in the cylander.
and crank the motor 3 times with your foot on the gas all the way down.
Its an analog guage that will tell you what your compression numbers are.

well i dont know, but my boys GSR hit 220psi straight across with 96,000 miles.
As someone said..make sure your car is warmed up to normal operating temp. otherwise the piston rings and valve seals are not fully expanded and wont hold PSI at an optimum

not all compression testers are the same. Most are cheap and not properly calibrated
Consistent numbers really all that is important

You have to crank it over more then three times, you crank it at WOT until the needle stops jumping. The compression tester will say in the directions, on low compression engines, crank 5-6 times, on higher compression engines (Almost all honda engines), crank over 10 + times.
ok i re did the test today with the car all the way warmed up. i did the test 2 times again and i cranked the motor 12 times each cyl.
1 200
2 200
3 200
4 200
my tester is ghetto and i can only get general #s.
when i say 200 i mean 198-203.
this is better right?

Looks good. considering how close they were on the first test I did not think a second was needed. At least now you have piece of mind
