Default Autocrossed yesterday in my S2000

I went to an awesome autox course. It was on an old runway. The course was a mile long. Let me tell you.. the S2000 is awesome, but it takes some serious adjusting to drive one at the limits. The S02s are nice..... but they when they give up.... look out, cause you are gonna spin.....(which I did) I entered a slalom too fast to the left, cut to the right and did a 270 degree spin.

I'm definately not the best autocrosser by any means, and this was only my fourth autocross so far (second time with the S) but other than the spinning out, the car handles just incredible.....

The other thing I'm trying learn, is when you autocross, you always have to be looking ahead at the next gate... it sounds soooooooooo easy, but when you are out there, its really difficult... I drove a run with an instructor, and the whole course he kept telling me which gate to look at, and it was always 1 or 2 gates ahead, after I "aimed" at the current gate......

Autocrossing rules...... I've also learned at this point, autocrossing is 70% driver 30% car (compared to drag racing with is 20% driver 80% car)...... I like that.. it shows who has skills, and who is there just to have fun (that would be me, cause I suck right now)

glad to see you liked it! It's a lot of fun, I call it a cheap thrill as most auto-x's in my area don't require a drive longer than an hour. The more and more you go, the better you'll be able to figure out different turns and combination of turns. The trick to auto-x is weight balance. You tell the car what to do by where you place it's weight. Once you figure that out, tell those top guys too look out for your cone-dodging speed!

yep.. that's what autox is all about.. driving as aggresively as you can without hitting the cones.

i used to autocross my hybrid accord all the time in maryland, but i never had time recently to auto-x my s2k. its so much fun and i recommend it to anyone. i could imagine my fwd accord is much easier to control than my rwd s2k.

I don't autocross but I watch it time to time. There was one near OSU parkinglot today.

Two S2000 was running. Yellow one was keep clocking around 55seconds while white one was doing 49seconds. It truely is drivers skill that counts.

Hey, I was born in Dublin OH, you're not too far from the mid-ohio track. There's always something cool going down there.
