Default stock intake without resonator

thinking of taking out the resonator and connect a pipe for the air box (the buttom end where it use to connect to resonator)to the bumper, does anyone ever try this ? will it works good ?

Yes I have.

And Yes I FELT I lost power. Sorry No dyno proof.

Especially low end. Response was quicker and obviously louder. I ran 3" dryer ducting from the bottom of the air box (with the top of the box affixed) through the fender to the front bumper and didn NOT feel ANY gains. Actually felt it lose torque feel.

I got a Comptech Icebox and felt better gains. Torque feel was back. Again I don't have a dyno to prove this mod alone.

The biggest FEEL difference was when I added the Spoon header. I do have a dyno graph that shows the combination of the Icebox and Spoon header alone. I just don't know where it is right now or even if it is saved on this PC I am using right now.

Messing with the stock airbox has never netted any major gains by any of us that have tried. At least in my own personal experience and from what I've seen posted.
