I should be gettting my hondata setup sometime this week so I'll be pulling my stock ECU and wiring harness. I was messing around with the car a bit yesterday when I decided to crawl down and see how hard getting the harness off is going to be. Maybe I need a flashlight or something, but it looked to me as if the other end of the harness just vanishes into the side of the car
. Did I just not look hard enough or is this going to be a pain?
< thinks yelling and thrown tools is in the near future.

Hmmmm. Ok, I'm guessing you didn't look hard enough?
Pulling the ECU is pretty easy. Just remove the side panel on the passenger side foot well. Unbolt the nuts holding the ECU in and unplug the three connections from the bottom of the ECU and that's it.

I'm guessing you didn't read the post hard enough
. I said the other end. I know where the ECU is and my kick panel hasn't been on for 50,000mi. I was talking about the other end of the harness. I have to remove the whole thing to swap in my OBDI-OBDII unit.

I thought you didn't remove the harness. Isn't there an adapter to go from the harness to your OBDI ecu? Otherwise you'd be re-wiring your whole car.

Crap! I just realized this
. Now I'm going to have to actually unwire my VAFC and put the connections back to stock

Actually, that's what I thought you were saying but then I was like....nah. I couldn't figure out why you would want to remove the entire engine harness.
Anyway, looks like you've got it figured out.
