Race Auto trans
Im not sure if this applies to hondas, but i know some auto maxima owners that have their valve body modified so the shifting is much quicker. This helps the tranny last longer and not slip as much when you pushfor more hp.
thanks to whoever this pic is from
You can also cryogen treat the tranny. this supposedly makes the internals stronger

the torque converter and upgraded clutches are what makes the differences. the quickest cars down the 1/4 mile use an automatic...GM turbohydramatic. and good fluids.

For real, a basically stock Honda Manual trans can handle alot of power with an upgraded differential, and driver that can read the tranny.

buy an upgraded torque converter it will almost all you need to run moderate boost. Unless you are planing on running 10s or lower you will not need to bulletproof the tranny synchros itself.

I have a turbo Auto with 10psi of boost for over 2 years now and nothing is wrong. I advise you get a large tranny cooler and drive responsible and don't abuse the tranny to much i.e. Manual shifting, or Flooring it often. Right now i'm doing the Auto/Manual conversion just because it cost way to much to build the auto tranny and Manual driving always gives the driver better control. btw the tranny held up fine holding 10psi of boost thru every gear

but if you cant be hard on it what's the point?
It's all in the torque converter people. If that thing cannot spin fast enough to create power you will strip the gears instead.
BTW: you should've got a dyno before and after to see how much HP you are going to free up through the conversion.

I agree, I should have dynoed it first. But i have a nice GSR tranny w/LSD and Exedy clutch and flywheel lying next to the car and i was bored. So you kno the story... A simple tranny swap is now also a Motor Build up, a Turbo Upgrade. =P
