ACT Clutch Whistel...PLS Help !!
Hi,
I have had my clutch installed yesterday (ACT HP PP and SS disk together with Pro lite Flywheel).
We used the supplied throw out bearing and we greased it etc.....
The only problem i have is that when my car is in neutral and idling i can hear a quite audible whistle...as soon as i press (only by a very small amount) the clutch pedal it disappears.
Also it seems that the pedal has a little free play in the first few cm's of travel.
In fact its quite soft at that point.
As soon as i continue to press the pedal and it feels harder the whistling stops.
Also it seems that the clutch is engaging at the top part of the pedal travel.
Any help guys............
The car feels awesome with the flywheel

rgds,
u installed your clutch yesterday...organic clutches need 500 miles MINIMUM to brake in...yours would be about 750-1000 miles before it is fully seated properly. Don't gun it, or u'll be replacing your clutch in another 5k miles. Keeps the rpms under 4k.
500 miles ??
i have a lot of opinions....there are ppl who are telling me to baby it for 100 miles then to drive it even to the redline but NOT to do fast changes etc.....
PPl who are telling me after 300 miles you can beat it.....i am confused
