I can't get my o2 sensor off the del sol. So after 2 days of trying i thought maybe i'd get the 15 dollar bosch ones at autozone. Anybody ever use these b4? I'd like to know how they perform b/c they'll be put to the test with a turbo manifold. Thanks for any reply's

only 15 dollars at autozone? damn...last time i checked for an O2 for my car,..it was 70 bucks and that was for the universal bosch o2,...and have you got that thing off the manifold yet? if not i can maybe help,..im WideBodyEK on SRD btw

 

You are correct!

I have the bosch O2 on my del sol, but it's the oem replacement (comes with "pigtail". Cost for me was 145.00

The universal one is about $65.00 and you need to wire it up, so you had better know what you are doing.

If you were quoted 15.00, either you didn't understand his reply or he miss understood what you needed.

the bosh ones are not 15 dollars there more like 60 dollars mt friend had to buy one casue he could not get his off his stock header to put it on his new comptec

yup...mine only lasted 2 months before going out on me. maybe running turbo is too much for these O2's.?? i'm putting a new OEM O2 on today...damn POS O2!

 

i got the universal bosch o2, 69 bucks plus tax. i wired it up correctly, but now i get code 43(fuel supply system, o2 sensor) every once in a while. it sucks, but my local honda dealer quoted me at 245 bucks for a honda o2- and i didnt have that kind of money. how are the bosch oem replacement sensors? do they work well?

 

Majestic Honda sells OEM o2 sensors(for the Z6) for about 165. Autozone has the OEM style Bosch for about 145... Don't get the universal Bosch! I'm still deciding whether I sould use the bosch or the Honda - but I have a feeling that they are both exactly the same.

 

when i got the oem bosch replacement O2 sensor, it said denso on the sensor just like the oem sensor.

 

we went to autozone today. The kid on the phone last night gave use the wrong price. Yeah, they were 69 bucks. i went to the junkyard today and i couldnt' get the one off of the 92 civc.

Do you think obd2 o2 sensor's work on a OBD1 del sol?

 

You are correct... and denso is the Co. that makes the OEM O2 sensor!!

I've had mine on for over a year guys and I've had no problems with it at all. I have it plugged into my Mugen Exhaust and I'm running with a randomtech cat.

So far all is well.

 

Man that O2 sensor must hate you. I read your other thread and I wouldve thought the breaker bar would of atleast done the trick. That sucks man, good luck in finding another O2 sensor. I also believe that the OBD1 and OBD2 O2 sensors are the same because I was able to swap O2 sensors between the OBD1 swap I had with my original OBD2 motor without any problems.

I also run the bosch oem replacement o2 sensor, for three years now and no problems yet.

I had this same EXACT problem. I asked a "Honda-Tech" (pun intended) at a local dealer, and he said "If there is 1 thing that you DON'T want to buy aftermarket, it's an o2."

I replaced mine with a used OEM and my car ran much better, and got better gas milage.

 

i bought one today off a fellow H-T member for 40 bucks shipped. It's from a 97 civic. Can't wait till it gets here

i put my bosch o2 sensor on when i installed my header, and not to shortly after that i noticed worse gas mileage. since then i have new cap,rotor,plugs,wires and the mpg is still a little lower than it used to be. looks like i just have to get an oem o2

 

ya... def junk.. spend the extra money and get one from the dealer
