need a cat where do i get.....
You can get a Carsound Hi Flow cat off ebay for about $50. The only problem is that you're going to need to have the bungs and flanges welded on by a muffler shop. Your other option is to get a prewelded Carsound from IPS racing or SMSP.

I suggest carsound. If i remember correctly it flows better then the rest of the hi flow cats (only thing beating it would be the test pipe of course). Could somebody referance that so its not just coming on the top of my knowledge. I believe there is a post that someone made about the exact flow or some kind of number comparing them.

If you're trying to stay legal, then just buy a cat from yr local auto store (autozone). If you want to gain some power, i would recommend u replace yr cat with a test pipe/resonator. Even if you get the high flow cat, there is a great chance you wont pass inspection anyways...

Carsound cats are CARB legal, meaning that it will pass smog.

get a large hammer and a metal rod and pound all the material out of your stock cat. Just make sure you're well ventilated and that you don't inhale any of the dust.

They're not CARB legal for OBD2 96+ cars. Besides just because it is CARB approved doesn't necessarily mean it will pass the actual smog test. Maybe the visual though. This is only for Cali people. Anyone outside Cali doesn't have to worry about CARB.
