Default Is any one running Mugen exhaust with test pipe?

I am thinking about ditching the carsound cat for a straight pipe. Is this combo extremely loud? Thanks

it should be hardly noticable in volume, that is as long as you have a resonator.

That is good news....How much is the T1R? Does it have an O2 bung or do you just disconnect the O2 sensor?

Thanks

There is no o2 bung on the T1R design. I have an obd1 ecu, so it eliminates that sensor/check engine light.

I have the mugen exhaust with the JDM mugen b-pipe (w/ test pipe and resonator). Sounds just a little deeper and louder than stock.

The only difference I noticed with the testpipe is that when it is cold outside there is a swooshing sound when you step on the gas. But I don't notice it anymore.

Nah, not loud at all. I ran that setup before. It just stinks w/o a cat.

My car stinks any way....I am actually running part of Sean's old set up.
I guess will try this since I am going Obd1.

Thanks for all the info.

Why don't you just gut your car-sound?
Screw driver and hammer.

The cat was fairly expensive, and nothing is wrong with it. I will keep it around just in case Virginia gets crazy with emissions testing...

I am running a Mugen Cat-back with a 2.5" Test Pipe. The exhaust got a little louder but hardly noticeable. I do in fact have a check engine light cause of the test pipe. Where can I get that thing that turns off the check engine light due to the second 02 sensor?

The mugen exhaust actually gets quite loud if you heat the whole system up a lot (like at the track where you have long periods of WOT)

But most of the time it will be quite mellow.

Testpipes are stinky though.

Very true. I noticed my fujitsubo was very loud when very hot after a track session. Then, with the test pipe, it got even louder. But for the street, it is not too much louder.

I just fitted a Phase test pipe to my mugen system (old skool Mugen sport exhaust) i already had a DC JDM 4-1, the test pipe isnt resonated and i get a buzzing noise just below 3k rpm at part throttle and it gets kind of raspy at WOT above 5k....it was only put on yesterday so i'll give it a while, but may need to get a resonated pipe if it doesnt settle down any. Any idea whare i can get a 12" resonated test pipe (this is for a JDM car)????
