do 96-00 civic cx's have a MAP sensor? i have not seen it if there is one! the only thing i see on the intake is the air intake temperature probe, and nothing else. i ask this because i am putting together a homemade turbo and i keep seeing stuff about missing links and how they help ur engine not throw a code when the boost rolls on. it says it goes between the MAP sensor and the throttle body, but since i am pretty sure i dont have a MAP sensor, would i need this? thanks

 

I know for a fact that it has a MAP sensor, but its been so long since I took the motor out of my car I can't remember exactly where it is, but it should be on the throttle body.

 

yes you have a MAP sensor.
it's on the throttle body at the back.

 

hmmmm . . . . i guess ill look for it in the a.m. while were on the topic, what purpose does a missing link serve? i know it keeps the cel off, but what causes the cel to come on in the first place?
