Default Which radiator hose to use?

B18B in an EG. I was told to get the CX hoses so I did. The lower fit perfectly (required a little stretching of the diameter to fit on motor side). The upper was not even close to fitting so I went back and got something that resembled my old upper hose but that fitment was horrendous as well. So, I'm using a CX lower hose (new) and an unknown upper hose (old). Does anyone know which upper hose I should use? Maybe a Del Sol VTEC? Anyone have a part number of a "custom fit" hose that will do the job?

Any and all help is appreciated as always.

-Mike

get the hoses for the engine you are installing. works on every car except the EF's well for me it did anyway. get a set of ls hoses you should be ok.

Issue is that the LS hose is way too wide to fit on the cx radiator, it'd cause "crimping" if i clamped it down. The CX was perfect for the lower, just a bit thin getting on to the motor. Anyone else have ideas? Ideally I'm looking for a CX diameter hose that is shaped like an LS one... Miserable.

Ok just use the ls upper hose but cut about a 2 inch long peice of hose off the cx upper. The insert that into the end that goes onto the radiator and clamp that **** down.

I'm guessing that's because the del sol dual core is made to mate up with a b-series?

Ghetto, but genius. I'll try it tomorrow.

i went to autozone and took my stock cx hose. just ask to go look at the hoses and find one wiht the same ID as yours and the same bends but longer. get that hose, and just trim to fit. i did this with my swap and have had no problems whatsoever

i put the bigger hose on the rad all the time. use worm clamps. the kind you tighten up. not the clamps you use pliers on. it is a little loose but if worm clamps are used you will be ok.
