Default OT pics of my ghettofied beater.

Well heres some pics of the beater i bought a erw months ago , ive been so busy i didnt post any info on it yet.Ive been sitting at home bored cuz i just got my wisdom teeth out so i figured this would be a good time.
The car is an 89 Nissan 240sx , The car was purcgases for $600 not too bad even though it was an eye sore. The car runs great as is , and as soon as the integra is done this will get a swap in it and some nice paint and prob an S13 cnversion .
For now its deff nice to have a car wth an interior in it, cruise control , ac. And best o all a stereo, l0l
heres some pics of its process.. . enjoy
The car was all black a while ago , but the kid i got it from felt the need to spray pain some of it white and eave the hood and roof black , the paint he did was kidna splotchy so heres some pics after i started to sand it down to prime it.

Heres some pics of it primered/semi primered, i ran out of cans the 1st day so i got more the second day to finish it up ,
Please dont laugh at the wheels, I pulled the 17's off the EP for now becuase i wa sin depserate need of rubber. Wifey's not gonna be too happy when she sees the rears are bald already. lol

Heres some pics of my stereo stuff, i was an old Basshead back in the day, and its nice to have a car that i dont care about the weight again.
I got a slammin deal on all the quipment all new.All Sas Bazooka Subs, and Amp, and CD Technolgie Highs and mids. Pioneer CD unit.
I threw it on the db meter like 15 min after we installed it all and for what i payerd for the stuff im happy, , , with thme not even broken in yet i did high 134DB readings wich aint too bad, Not alot of power and not broken in.

thanks , its deff needs some TLC, but it can deff be a bad *** car when i get some time to mess with it
It runs great, but kinda an eyesore still .
When i got it i had to put the interior back together, the kid bought it as a project car, but had to leave for College so had to part with it cheap.
And its a blast ebcuase the rear drifts out very easily. hahaha i et bored and go in empty parking lots at night and gocrazy with it ,lol

the outside dont look too bad anymore, the last pic was taken today , i will prob get it painted lke an orange/bronze color like my old crotch rocket

its a Nissan 200sx color from 96 i believe, that with some black or gun metal wheels with some polished lips, shouldnt look too bad

yes deff a POS at 1st, but i saw it for what it could be , not what it was. .. anyone who knows me knows i like a challenge.
When my girl 1st saw it when we looked at it she shook her head no and told me not to even think about it . i bought it there on the spot. I knew it has alot more to live for. So far i think this is the most fun of a daily driver i coulda have gotten for the moeny and when i get more money i know there will be more to come

That first picture makes me crack up. But the work you've already done to it shows. Can't wait to see what you do in the future.

err 240sx??? here in australia we call that thing a 180sx. I though 240sx were the equivalent of our s15 silvia.. see the following gallery for what I mean (the yellow car is an s15) http://redlineau.com/gallery/albuo56?&page=5

In Japan this car is considered the 180sx/s13 body style. Although i think the S13 part of it is really for Silvia. They just call it a 240sx in the States. Yes in that pic thats an S15. Very nice might i add.

unless some posts have been edited, all of those pictures are of S13's. S13/S14/S15 just designates the chassis code, so it's relevant to all nations of origin.

S13: 89-94
S14: 95-98
S15: 99-03 (i think 03 was the last year, or 02, never available in the states)

the 180SX/200SX/240SX/Silvia is the motor designation. 89-90 the 1.8 CA18DET motor was used everywhere but in the states, where the KA24E was used, a SOHC 2.4 liter. from 91-94 in the S13 the infamous SR20DET was used across the globe (in europe it was known as a 200SX), of course here we got the KA24DE a DOHC version of the 2.4 liter. in japan there were different versions of the Silvia, you could get a Silvia Q, Silvia K, and i think there were some other ones. The Q/K/etc will tell you what motor it had, as you could get a SR20DE, SR20DET, a CA18DE, and maybe some other options. was added somewhere in the line of 95 and up models of the SR20DET, but is still the same basic motor until the car was discontinued this year.

Hint for reading nissan engine codes:
D: DOHC
E: electronic fuel injection
T: BOOOST
KA 24DE: 2.4 liter (middle number designates displacement)

in case you can't tell, i've been owner of 3 nissans for the past 5 years.
