Default CF Hood Squeeking/Rattling

and its driving me ******* nuts. It seems to be coming from the hood latch, but i could be wrong. I've lubricated it fully and it still does it. I have the JDM fron end and the hood is VIS.

get a friend to help you pin point the sound and go from there. Look for wear/rub marks anywhere on the hood...

Try wrapping some electrical tape around the bottom part of the latch (on the hood) and close it. That should abosorb the vibration..... works the same way when people do it on their rear hatch. If it's still squeeking & rattling, then you know it's something else, like possibly the hood rubbing on the fenders or the hinges not on secure.

I have had this hood on for a year, over a year actually. I have drenched the hood latch in WD-40...it seemed to get worse in all honesty. I was thinking about wrapping it in electrical tape, the same way as my damn trunk..

Any other suggestions?

Have you adjusted the height of the latch and the rubber bumpers?

It might. It sounds like the hood might not be closing as tightly as it could/should be. When you stop by, I could take a look at it with you to try an help you figure it out.

BTW - I'm amazed that I've never seen your car. Do you keep it hidden?

Sunday sounds good. I'll PM you with my address, and you can let me know if you'll have any problems finding it, and what time you want to stop over.
