Default Do you recommend Bypassing throttle body Coolant lines?

I just found something on vtec.net that involves bypassing the coolant lines that run through the throttle body. It says its supposed to free up a few horse power.. Does anyone have any experience about this? How much horsepower does it free up? What are the side effects of this? I live in california where it is relatively warm year round.
Thanks

If it is warm all the time then do it.. But even when it was hot in VA, my would still have a surging idle..

don't do it, not worth the trouble it is to do it, or worth the trouble it causes.

For those of you who had done the TB bypass, to relieve the surging you must block the FIV with some form-a-gasket material to prevent it from letting air through and having eratic idling. You can even remove the FIV completely, put a plate and the gasket material in-between and bolt it on......

Can you give us some pictures or a diagram of what you are talking about?
